How Synchronicity Connects You to Your Divinity (aka your authentic self)
What is Synchronicity?
Seeing the same numbers on repeat; thinking about a person you haven’t seen in ages and then running into them at the grocery store; or tuning into an idea and then having someone tell you a story that is exactly in line with what you just processed, these are all examples of synchronicity!
Recently, I was mailed a spiritual activity called Flying Wish Paper that I have been including in some of my client sessions. The day after receiving this packet, a new client came to work with me.
She shared that she sees images of peacocks everywhere . To our surprise and delight, we opened up the activity packet and saw that inside there was only one theme/image and unbeknownst to me, it was the peacock!
Synchronicity is divinity in motion. It reminds us that we are on the right path, to keep going, let go, & trust!
Synchronicities Can Be Messengers
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines synchronicity as, “coincidental occurrence of events and especially psychic events (such as similar thoughts in widely separated persons or a mental image of an unexpected event before it happens) that seem related but are not explained by conventional mechanisms of causality —used especially in the psychology of Carl Gustav Jung”
As I write this post, I am reminded of a wedding that I attended last Summer. One of the guests and I spoke about my work and he had asked me if I had studied Jungian as this was of particular interest to him. While I have not studied this, I believe that Carl Jung has taught us all the power of the unconscious and how important it is to align to our highest vision of ourselves. This can require deep and fulfilling work at the unseen layers which is exactly what I assist clients with.
Synchronicities often show us more than meets the eye and we can unravel that together. For instance, this client who has been seeing peacock images for quite sometime, finally picked up the deeper messaging during her session where she was directed to connect to her father and her ancestors and embody the beauty that she and her family are.
We can take our synchronicities at face value and they do help us to connect the dots, however one step further can clear up old belief systems, family wounds, create emotional balance, remove fears, etc,, in order remind us of our unique divine selves and then to embody just that.
How to Have More Synchronicities In Your Life:
If you haven’t encountered any synchronicities lately, you may be experiencing some sort of blockage or you’re just not paying enough attention to the little magical details of life.
Perhaps you or someone in your family tree has the belief that “nothing ever good happen in my life” and so this blocks you from experiencing all of the kind universal gifts that are ever-present. Or, maybe you’re so busy working all the time or taking care of others that you haven’t even given yourself the opportunity to see, feel and experience things outside of your current environment.
Once you make this choice, slow down, and collapse the falsities of you, synchronicities will show up frequently.
I can promise you this because I’ve seen it in my own life and my clients are reporting syncroncities all the time. As stated earlier, we can then decide to dive deeper into these synchronicities during our inner work or within a sacred expansion session.
Sometimes synchronicities can appear confusing or even challenging but remember, life is a gift and we are able to receive the gift of the message whenever we are ready for transformation.
Children are often more deeply connected to the synchronicities and will point them out to you. As you go through life, it’s a return back to that child-like wonder. You must choose to awaken to all of the signs that are ever-present.
Get Inspired and Make a List of Your Synchronicities!
When we make physical or mental lists, we focus on what we want and in turn can magnify this. If you’re looking for a sign or a direction about something going on in your life, perhaps accumulating more synchronicities in your life can help you! This process must be done without worry, with ease and trust!
Here are two examples of my list and my “lessons” connected to these synchronicities. Give it a try for yourself and let me know how it goes!
A few summers ago I was driving to a wedding in NJ (a different wedding than the one mentioned earlier in this post!). The NJ turnpike has many exits named after famous people. We passed the Judy Blume exit and within minutes of passing this exit, my friend texted me a photo of Judy Blume at her daughter’s summer camp. It was random, we’ve never even spoken about Judy Blume she had no idea I was in NJ. I smiled and chocked it up to a fun “meeting of the minds.” A few years later I did look into the meaning of this and it was for me around a fear of growing up. I’ve processed it and while I still have my childlike ways I also have no fears now about living a life with maturity and making decisions from this new part of myself.
Not too long ago, I was driving along a road I frequent and I noticed a sign I. had never seen before, “Sunshine Massage.” I took notice and remembered liking the positivity of the name. Within hours of noticing this sign, I was walking in a parking lot in a neighboring town and I looked over to see a license plate that said, “Sunshine.” I asked Spirit what this all meant and was guided to instill two beliefs in me: My inner sun is shining. My outer sun is shining. About a month later,I traveled to Sedona, AZ to a workshop. The workshop had a large church of information about connecting to the inner and outer sun. I was prepared and continue to focus on my own light and the light around me.
