What is the Catch & Release Process and How it Can Help You Live with More Freedom & Presence
Catch the Wave & Then, Let it Go!
The origins of the catch & release process…
The catch and release name came to me during a channeled message that I posted to Instagram on June 11, 2026: “The catch and release method is needed to help you address what’s been missing.”
Since then, I’ve had time to contemplate and put this process into practice. Me and my clients are enjoying the concept and finding that it can assist in understanding our fears better, offer stress relief, and help center ourselves in the now moments!
Step 1: Notice Any Attachments
It’s easy to grip onto whatever it is that you’ve “caught.” For example, this could be a past experience that you can’t stop thinking about, a new relationship, a large sum of money that was given to you unexpectedly or a dream job that you applied to and are still awaiting a response., Because these things feel good, you want to hold onto the energy as long as you can! While this is understandable, if your grip is too tight, it may crush that very thing that you love and stiffen any forward movement. We can also attach to negative experiences such as a diagnosis from a doctor, a lay off from work, etc. so these are all things to consider.
Observe if you are gripping; obsessing; holding on; or worrying that you will lose something. You will know if you’ve done this because there most certainly will be a lack of flow in at least one area of your life.. Your first step here is to notice what it is that you can’t stop thinking about. Where is your focus? Is this focus healthy?
Keep in mind the “catch” could be something physical but it could also be an emotion. For instance, if you get injured and have trouble releasing pain, perhaps you are holding onto the day you hurt yourself and/or the emotion associated with the pain (eg: the same day of the injury, you had anger about something that happened at work).
Again, just notice and take inventory. This type of awareness will help you to understand why you might not feel fluidity or freedom.
Step 2: Claim Your Birthright of Abundance
In life, when we catch the energy, some of us go into the “what if the other shoe drops” mode while others may continue to catch more and more goodness into their reality.
Whether you’re on the positive or negative spectrum, this Catch & Release Process can help you!
There’s a lot to catch, a lot to experience, and so much to move through! Life becomes fluid as we stay present to these small yet powerful moments of ‘catch.”
Affirm: I am abundant in love and life! I choose to catch the waves of abundance in all areas of my life! Aho!
Step 3: Releasing the Energies:
How long you “hold on” and appreciate the catch is entirely up to you. Often we forget that we can let go and still appreciate at the same time! How do you let go? Perhaps it’s an action you need to take, or maybe it’s about going within through meditation, physical activity, an energy healing modality, or ritual and releasing in the way that feels good to you. You’ll know when you’ve released b/c you’ll feel lighter.
Sometimes it’s. just as simple as finding the sweet spot of neutrality where the past and future no long hold their power and you can bask in the now “I AM” moment.
Feel Safe to Let Go and Flow!
In the law of attraction and manifestation techniques we are told to focus on the positive and by doing so this will bring in more of the same. Yes, this is true. However, deep within us there can be unconscious soul programs running. Those deep beliefs like, “I’m not enough,", “I don’t deserve this,” or a past experience that shows up as a current trauma such as something really good was given to you and then “taken away” from you and you’re still holding onto that idea. Or maybe you still feel like you made a bad decision in the past and now it’s time to come to terms that all decisions are pointing you forward. They are neither good nor bad. Through intuition, feeling, Source connection, and muscle testing, we look at these things to help release and let go so that’s it’s safe to focus on the positives but also safe to just be in pure release mode where greater flow exists.
Putting the Catch & Release Process Into Action
Questions to Ask Yourself to Help Catch & Release the Energies
Quiet contemplation will help you clarify what you’re looking to catch next in the energies of your life, or what you may need to release.
Am I overthinking something in my life? If so, what is it that I’m saying to myself or to others over and over again?
What do I want instead?
Begin to shift the energies through your imagination (and/or whatever tools you have to help you).
Breathe IN the old and Breathe OUT the old. Then, breathe in the NEW and slowly release through your breath trusting that it’s safe to let go of any attachments.
If you need further support getting to the root cause and/or integrating any of this, consider booking a 1:1 session. Over time you will become a master at eloquently catching and releasing the energies. Keep it as light as you can and consider it part of the game of life. Energies tend to get stuck when they’re heavy and feel like work!
